Human anatomy sure is eyecandy :Q

Serratus muscle always seems really intimidating to render. THIS IS HANDY.

I could explain this a lot better, but I’m lazy today. |(

Also, I made it a dude each time because drawing in boobs would distract from the underlying muscle and stuff. :Y

The progression of the Knight. It’s hard not to admire the intricacy of this armor. It’s easy to see that these men were practically walking tanks on the battlefield.

|DRAWING THE HEAD AND HANDS| by Andrew Loomis

A few select pages, chosen specifically for the helpful display of head rotation and its correlation with neck muscles.

(for effsie~)

More useful shit, guys :3

Ohmygod. THIS BOOK. GET IT. ALL OF YOU. If you’re seeking a useful book for human anatomy.

Immediately after reading/staring/studying this, I drew this:

Figure 1

(Fig 1)

And the things I’ve learned with this and Loomis’ other books has helped me transitioned to the image on the left to the image on the right:

(Fig 2)

P.S. The May 2010 image in figure 2 was drawn 5 days before I drew figure 1. So this book. It has all my love. Haha.

Wow.. this popped up right after I posted about wanting to learn to draw people? -_-?

Loomis’ books are really great! Check them out when you can guys.~

Thought you guys would enjoy!

drawing wings on humanoids tutorial
seriously the best goddamn tutorial i’ve EVER FOUND goddamn
thought maybe my good omens bros would appreciate it?
THE FULL TUTORIAL IS TOO BIG FOR TUMBLR SO CLICK HERE TO SEE IT

This one’s really good too…

omfg i NEED THIS

Hmm… thinking a bit further on the subject, winged humanoids might have bigger pectorals in order to have enough strength on the wings, or else humanoids with wings might not be able to lift themselves. Females, perhaps, they might have less breast and more muscle. I’m not saying they wont have breasts, but at least, they must not have big ones since it’s an extra weight to the body and may affect their balance while flying.
Just sayin’…
